ALAN DOUGLAS EYES

ALAN DOUGLAS EYES (Chair)

Alan was appointed to the position in 2002. He is married with 2 adult children and has a long association with both Counties Power Ltd and the Trust - the former in a senior management employee capacity and the latter as the inaugural Secretary.

His interests include his family, boating and his church. His past involvement in the community have included the St John's Ambulance whereas today his time is taken up with Rotary.

He has a number of formal qualifications in the Commercial arena and brings extensive experience of directorships to his position as Trustee.


PHILLIP STANLEY BESTON

PHILLIP STANLEY BESTON

Phil was elected as a Trustee in 2007 and is looking forward to making a meaningful contribution to the Trust.

He is family focused being married with 3 adult children. His community is important to him and as a result he is involved in several community organisations.

Phil loves all outdoor activities and classes hunting and fishing as his favourite time-wasters.


CHRISTINE PHYLLIS RUPP

CHRISTINE PHYLLIS RUPP

Christine was initially appointed to the position in 1998 but has been re-elected since then. She is married with 2 adult children and has a background in banking and finance both in New Zealand and overseas.

She takes an active role on the Hunua Hall & Reserve Committee and the Hunua Tennis Club and has been involved with the Forest and Bird Protection Society. Her interests include travel, tennis, gardening, sailing and recycling.


GANGES SINGH

GANGES SINGH

Ganges was elected as a Trustee in 1997. He is married with 3 adult children and is a retired Market Gardener and Retailer.

He is the President of the Auckland Regional Ethnic Council Inc and is on the Council for Counties Manukau Health.

He has been (and continues to be) involved in numerous community activities and was awarded the QSM in 1990 for his service to the community. In 1999 he received a Senior Achiever's Silver Award.

Ganges' interests encompass all sports, cultural activities and community affairs and he enjoys reading and travel.


DON WILLIAM THOMSON

DONALD WILLIAM THOMSON

Don was appointed to the Trust in 2008. He is married with 2 adult children and has a 40 year association with the Franklin area. He has owned a successful business in Pukekohe for over 30 years but has recently sold.

Don is a past President and a current member of Pukekohe Rotary and has been involved in many other community organisations in various roles.

His current interests are yachting and trout fishing along with skiing (semi retired).


GAIL RIDDELL

GAIL RIDDELL

Gail was appointed Secretary to the Trust in 2003. She is a Chartered Accountant and was a Trustee of Counties Power Consumer Trust from 1994 to 1998 when she left the district for a time.

Having recently shifted to a life-style block, she puts her spare hours into a wide range of domestic activities such as grounds, handcrafts and is currently learning the intricacies associated with stills, yeasts and sugar!
